In the TOMONOSHi! i+d LaB, we use drawing as our primary language to communicate, explore ideas, identify problems and create solutions. This is integral to developing the hand’s ability to communicate what we have imagined. The writing utensils we use in this process become bridges to a manifested imagination.
Our TOMONOSHi! Writing Utensil 001 (TWU001) is a standard seven-and-a-half-inch number two pencil. Its graphite core strikes a balance between hardness and darkness, making it a great tool for daily sketching and writing.
To create the TWU001, grooves are cut into thin, cedar-wood slats, graphite is then carefully laid within the grooves, sandwiched between two slats of cedar. A thin layer of glue secures them in place. Once it is dry, it gets shaped into its circular shape then cut to its standard size. Once it is cut, it gets moved through the painting machine, which coats the pencils with multiple thin layers of paint.
To achieve the TOMONOSHi! Logo neatly placed on the TWU001, a die mold is made, then each pencil is stamped with white or black foil ink and finished off with a clamping metal topper and rubber eraser.
The TOMONOSHi! Writing Utensil 001 is pre-sharpened for your immediate use.

SHIPPING WITHIN THE USA:
Shipping rate for USA STANDARD PRIORITY MAIL (1-3 Business days) is calculated at checkout. Free shipping within the USA on orders over $150.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
We ship orders via DDU. International rates will be calculated at checkout and all rates are not inclusive of duties and taxes which varies country by country
RETURNS:
All returns must be authorized by emailing Goodday@tomonoshi.com and must be sent within 14 days of receiving your order.*
*Returns are subject to a 15% RESTOCKING FEE for refunds. All refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt of merchandise and credited back using your original form of payment.
All merchandise must be returned unworn, unwashed, in their original condition with all tags and packaging intact. All returns are accepted at the sole discretion of TOMONOSHi!, LLC and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
EXCHANGES:
Exchanges are acceptable within 14 days of delivery, only if the item is flawed or defective. All packaging, tags, and other items in the order must be in its original condition. Customers are responsible for the return shipping costs. All requests for exchanges made after the 14 day period will be denied.
